Kakehashi (The Bridge) presents a vista of diverse narratives and cinematic practices from around the globe. It focuses on underground cinema, with dialogue after screenings forming an essential part of the programming.
The selection of works is always driven by passion: it is diverse and eclectic, comprised of many genres. We will introduce new works fresh from the oven of the experimental kitchen and present hidden cinematic gems often forgotten by time — from the transcendental world of Andrei Tarkovsky to the avant-garde theatre of Shuji Terayama, from the piercing satirical works of Yorgos Lanthimos to the healing cinematography of Alejandro Jodorowsky.
Our club is non-profit. We do not charge any entrance fees. However, we would like to keep it rather intimate by inviting small numbers of people through personal communication: emails. Therefore, if you wish to become a member and receive information about upcoming screenings, please drop us an email that includes your name. Detailed information about the film will be sent via email on the Tuesday two weeks before the day of the screening. Information about upcoming events can also be found on our Facebook page.
