"963"

“If you only knew the magnificence of the 3, 6 and 9, then you would have a key to the universe.” - Nikola Tesla

"963" is an exhibition of paintings by artist Kurumi.walnut. For the artist, 9.6.3 — pronounced phonetically in Japanese as "ku-ru-mi" — is not only her name but a sacred number sequence of great significance.

Her artwork presents a wide range of moods — from dreamlike to reality, from tenderness to pain. The result is an exhibit that reads like a novel, spelling out the artist's life in detail, inviting viewers to enter her body metaphorically and experience her world.
